PeppeR

PeppeR  is the Java based, graphical 3D-EM DAS client, intended for visualization of 3D-EM volume maps, plus atomic resolution structures from fitting experiments, together with their annotations.

3D Electron Microscopy (3D-EM) studies, result in 3D density map in which each voxel is related to Coulomb potential of the sample at that position. Atomic resolution data is obtained from X-ray diffraction (RX) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (NMR). Fitting experiments allow to combine both resolution ranges to a better understanding of biological macromolecules.

PeppeR  implements the Distributed Annotation System (DAS) protocol to gather up different types of features from available DAS annotation servers and display them in specific panel for a convenient, interactive view.
